Cheese Making Workshops

Cheese making is a craft that allows us to transform milk in to an array of delicious cheeses, yogurt, and kefir. This magical separation of curds and whey also acts as method of preserving milk in times of abundance. Join us on the farm for another informative season of exploring the world of fermentation using fresh, nutritious goat’s milk from the source.

Cheese Making Basics: Learn the fundamentals of artisanal cheese making in this demonstration style work shop designed to give you the foundation needed to make a variety of fermented dairy products at home. We’ll cover basic equipment, recipes, resources, basic food safety, types of milk, and touch on a bit of science behind the craft. 1.5 hour, demonstration-style workshop $30 (includes tastings)

Goat Milk Feta: In this workshop, we’ll focus on this traditional Greek cheese and explore the brining process to understand Feta’s salty tangy flavor and differing consistency. 1 hour, demonstration-style workshop $25 (includes tastings)

We also offer private cheese making workshops for you and your friends. Allow us to tailor a course that interests your group and turn a social gathering into an on-farm cheese making extravaganza! Prices vary according to length of workshop and topics covered. 4 person minimum and 10 person maximum.

Our workshops are limited to 10 students and fill quickly. Class offerings vary according to milk supply.
